"I grew up overlooking a beautiful valley through which a small river ran. But at one end of the valley, the river changed. The water became slow and black, trees overhung it and it widened into a stagnant, flooded wood. The trees were all dead. It was silent apart from the occasional call from a bird. One could not see across it. It was an eerie, chilling place."
A description of the river Styx from Dante's Inferno.
The title of this show comes from the Odyssey. In Book XI, Odysseus crosses that same river to the underworld and encounters a dead colleague. He asks: "How art thou come to this dark shore?" Homer describes the Styx as wide, fast flowing, and dangerous. It might be The English Channel.

Next month I will be exhibiting again at the British Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery at Stand 21 on the Ground Floor in the same position as the last few years.

How to Find us:
Located in the historical city of Chichester, we occupy the ground floor of an old industrial building just outside the north walls of the city.
By train:
From London Victoria direct to Chichester Station, journey time about 90 minutes.
(Make sure that you are in the front 4 coaches)
We are a 10 minute walk due north through the centre of the city.
By car:
1.5/2 hours from London.
Parking:
The nearest car park is Northgate car park by the Chichester Festival Theatre.
What to do in and near Chichester:
Pallant House Gallery (fantastic public art museum)
Chichester Cathedral (950 years old!)
West Wittering beach (best beach for miles)
Goodwood Art Foundation (just opened)
The Ghost at the Feast (indie food hall 100m away)
